We believe that extracurricular activities are vital to the success of any school. Activities outside of the classroom promote not only social interaction, but also positive personal development.
Current student groups/clubs/organizations include:
Beta Club
All Beta Club members must be performing at or above grade level in terms of academics. The four qualifications for Beta Club membership require that members possess:
- Worthy, moral, and ethical character
- Good mentality
- Creditable achievement
- Commendable attitude
DCS offers two Beta Clubs-- Junior Beta and Senior Beta.
Spelling Bee
Open to students in grades 3-8, the Spelling Bee provides students a chance to be awarded special recognition for their spelling accomplishments.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is open to students and athletes that want to expand their Christian faith through the works and additional learning opportunities. There are two FCA groups-- one for high school and one for middle school.
Student Council
Student council is an elected group of students from middle-high school. The Student Council plays an important role in communicating with the board, faculty, and staff from a student perspective.
Math Teams
The Math Team is for students interested in challenging themselves with math.
Yearbook Staff
Students are assigned roles in planning, developing, and creating the DCS “Warrior” yearbook. The Yearbook staff is perfect for students interested in photography, art, and layout design!
Athletic Teams (B-Team, JV, and Varsity)
DCS offers a plethora of athletic opportunities for students, including:

Art and Music Classes (K5-4th grade)
Art and music instruction can help children realize their creativity and imagination, resulting in a more well-rounded student.
Physical Education (PE) Class (K5-8th grade)
DCS is committed to helping students improve in all areas of their lives-- spiritually, academically, socially, and physically. PE allows students the opportunity to exercise in fun ways while in a structured environment.
